Flood?

Notesit\s been discovered via very reputable sources that spin cycle has the potential to be an extremely dangerous arena. if you are unfamiliar with the seam, it\s advised to not go there. a mistake here could, in theory, be a terminal charc. if you absolutely must go here, talk to a local to find out exactly how not to tap in.

Noteswe\ve come to the conclusion that this place is awesome. rides vary depending on charc, the surges in the seam, and levels. sometimes mysteries are buttery and serene, sometimes part smooth and part loopy, and sometimes they are a bit dynamic to say the least. the dark room makes us usually hit the up button but i would say that it\s more or less a mind f*ck. overall i would rate this spot as epic for several reasons as described above. access is easy.

Flood?
Spin Cyclejd09-02-2011 12:00 AM11.8ft8
NotesHurricane Irene came through and changed the flow a bit. Charles and I hit it at three different levels, three days in a row. 11.8 was actually smoother than we expected, despite the fact that the eddyline is more of a fence than a smooth line. The initial entry may be smooth or bumpy, and the rides can be smooth or violent, or a combo of each. 10.9 was a fun level, if you hit the seam right, long deep rides are possible. The whirlpools and surges can still bump a squirtist off level and thus cause premature exits either loopy or smooth. 10.5 was more fickle but good rides were there to be had with good entries. Overall very smooth and you can still hit the dark layer. The rides here are different with each attempt, which is what makes this spot so fun. Sometimes mysteries are smooth and some are a bit dynamic. If you can kung fu your way down through the top turbulent layers, you can get rewarded with some nice roaming. Even when in the compression layer, you can be slapped with a surge which may cause you to skid, stall, black attack, or loop. But if you work it right, you can fight your way through a surge and keep your boat level for a longer ride. So, that said, Spin Cycle is still pretty sweet despite the record floods.
